Alsons Power-Zamboanga

The Alsons Power Group’s San Ramon Power, Inc. (SRPI) recently turned over 205 reams or more than 100,000 sheets of bond paper to eight public schools located in SRPI’s host barangays of Sinubong, Pamucutan, and Talisayan, Zamboanga City. The SRPI donation will enable the schools to print more than 25,000 learning modules for the start of the new school year.

SRPI is developing a 105 mega-watt baseload power plant that is expected to begin operations in 2024 to provide power to Zamboanga City and nearby areas. Alsons Power is Mindanao’s first private sector power generator with a portfolio of four power facilities serving over eight million people in 14 cities and 11 provinces in the Philippines’ second largest island.

During the turnover ceremony at the Talisayan National High School, SRPI Admin Officer Anna Lee T. Que (4th from the left) presented the donated reams of paper to (from left to right): Talisayan Elementary School Principal Joseph Luania, Talisayan National High School Principal Dr. Christine Guinacaran, Talisayan Barangay Chairperson Janet Escobal, Sinubong National High School Principal Ms. Andahao, San Ramon Elementary School Principal Jennilyn Cuartocruz, and Pamucutan Elementary School Principal Corazon Fabella.
