Giving birth is never easy. Seeing your body adapt to pregnancy as you welcomed your bundle of joy brings mixed emotions of happiness along with anxiety of how your body has changed over the past few months. Majority of moms aren’t free from these “battle scars” of giving birth, with most having stretch marks and loose skin post delivery.

Though Geneva Cruz is one hot momma, she also shares the same journey as any mom. “Don’t be fooled by what you all see on social media. No mommy who has given birth has perfect skin or body while pregnant and after giving birth. My stomach, thighs, and abdomen are not as tight as it used to be, but it is stronger and more beautiful because of what it has been through. The tiger stripes, loose skin, linea negra, and cellulite go hand-in-hand with pregnancy, but I wouldn’t be who I am today if not for those warrior marks,” she reiterated in her Instagram post. She also stressed how important it is for “moms in all shapes and sizes should support” each other.

And for those who have the urge to keep bashing, she has this to say, “People should stop looking at bodies as just representations of sex and being dirty; look at it on a deeper scale. I love and respect my body not only because I’m happy with mine, but because of its strength and uniqueness.”

She also called out the bullies who make fun of women after giving birth, “All of you are just a bunch of bullies. A woman needs only to be herself to be acceptable and lovable. A woman does not need to buy a thing to improve or change their irreplaceable, beautiful selves. Our scars, rolls, bones, pigmentations, big or small breasts, stretch marks, and wrinkles all tell a story — our own, unique stories.”

She ends the post by inspiring everyone to value themselves, “Let’s learn to love ourselves fully and deeply.”
