Director Zack Snyder confirms reshoots included the Dark Knight in his post-apocalyptic getup

As the release date of the revamped “Justice League” gets closer and closer, expect more teasers to drop here and there. Just earlier this week, the film’s director Zack Snyder released new footage of Jared Leto’s Joker. Now, he’s teased new scenes featuring a post-apocalyptic Batman.

Snyder posted the new image to his Vero account.

Dubbed as the “Knightmare” Batman, this Dark Knight in a trench coat plus matching googles had already made an appearance in the theatrical release of the ”Justice League”—in that dream sequence of a desert world with a Superman controlled by Apokalips, which probably left you, like me, scratching your head.

Snyder confirms that the footage is taken from reshoots for “Justice League.” While most of the film will be from original footage that ended up not being used in the 2017 theatrical release—around 150 minutes of unseen shots, accordingly—the director previously confirmed that there will only be about four or five minutes of “additional photography.”

It seems that a good length of this additional scenes will involve “Knightmare” Batman. We’ll find out when Justice League: Snyder Cut premieres on HBO Max on March 18.
