Here’s how you can say ‘I love you’ with a bit more flair

Love is in the air!

We are a few days away from Valentine’s Day. Although we might be celebrating it differently this year because of the pandemic, this will not stop us from expressing our love and affection for our better halves.

We list seven artisan products to help you say ‘I love you’ to your special someone in a romantic, artistic way despite the isolation and distance between all of us.

Hi Everybody! 🙂 In collaboration with QuiverSmiths' Artisan Tools and Angelu Jane design, we present the “SINTA”…

Sinta boxes

Sinta” is a Filipino term of endearment for that special someone. And to help you make your love felt, three artisan shops namely @quiversmithsph, @letr.a, and @iamanjdesign have come together to put up these Sinta boxes.

Each box is composed of one dried flower bouquet, one handpainted tote bag with your choice of either the word “pag-ibig” or “sinta” in Baybayin characters, one QuiverSmith’s alpas watercolor journal, and one free custom calligraphy handwritten letter.

Custom-made jewelry

Make your partner shine brighter with custom-made jewelry pieces. Jovy Vasquez, a local designer from Meycauyan, Bulacan and the owner of jewelry shop Princess Laura Jewelry is accepting custom-design orders.

Personalized post cards

If you and your partner are foodies, why not send her a postcard of her favorite food or one that will remind her of significant events in your relationship such as where you ate during your first date?

Polymer clay artist Kate Adajar is accepting digital postcard projects, and this time she focuses on food.

Que Rica picnic set

What is Valentine’s Day celebration without food? The situation may hinder you from going out but it shouldn’t stop you from having a romantic dinner with delicious food. Que Rica offers a picnic set with s easy to cook meal set that includes Bicol express longganisa, spicy pork laing longganisa, rakenrol chips, pili chocolate chip cookies, and more.

On top of this, the set also includes mood candle, mini dried flower bouquet, upcycled heart-shape décor by Bicolano artist Bidibidi, and cards illustrated by other Bicolano artist Pen Prestado.

Portrait by Roxanne Ricohermoso

If your partner loves her pet so much, why not get extra pogi/ganda points by having her baby’s photo into a portrait painting? Known for her renaissance style works, Roxanne Ricohermoso (@petartbyroxy) already has celebrities who commissioned her to eternalized their fur babies such as Heart Evangelista and Nadine Lustre.

Some of the notable local artisans that are creating and making quality yet artistic keycaps are Argelittee Arieta and Lesley Rebusa from Buckeys. Their store offers various designs from “Star Wars” to Marvel characters.
